Brother/Sister Art Sale!

So Tyler and I finally found something to kick ourselves into action. To get really motivated to crank out some artwork. I got a random invite through someone who had liked my etsy store to participate in an art sale in April during the Duluth Gallery Hop event.

Our idea will be afford-ably priced art for everyone. Small paintings and handcrafted art pieces for less than $20. The price for a booth at the sale is awesome, just $15. We're hoping to have at least 20 pieces each, but I think we'll end up with a few more than that even. Most of our work will be 8x10 stretched canvases in acrylics. Some panel work and found items too.

It's just over a month away, and we've been texting and calling each other every night bouncing ideas off of each other. I'm excited to see what he brings and can't wait to see his work sitting by mine and hopefully other people will like what they see and want to take it home with them. The pictures here are from Tyler, sent over the phone, so I apologize for the quality. It's some of his concepts he's gotten together over the past couple of nights. The last one is really cool. He's testing out different paint on those cheap iron-on jean patches. Make your kid's (or yours too) tattered jeans super awesome with custom patches! I'm digging this idea!

So, mark your calendars, April 17th at the old Washington school in Duluth that's an art co-op now.
